Process Improvement Program (PIP)
Product Action's quality engineers can apply their extensive manufacturing process and quality system development experience to identify and implement improvements in first time yield, productivity, failure mode risk reduction, and other key performance measures of your business. . In our unique PIP program, Product Action provides an on site quality engineer with a proven track record and expertise in the customer's product and process technology. We work closely with the customers plant team, using a three phase approach identify, define, and manage implementation of the actions necessary to achieve the customers improvement goals. Our three phase approach includes:
- Process Gap Analysis - Conduct thorough analysis of current production capability and readiness, including technical specification/drawings, FMEA, process control plan, standardized work, gage R&R, product traceability, packaging & labeling, inspection standards, and many others.
- Improvement Action Plan - Our quality engineer will propose a recommended improvement plan based on the gap analysis findings, and prepare project proposal with estimated cost and timetable to complete.
- Progress Monitoring & Measurement Report - On a regular schedule, our quality engineers will provide standardized reports monitoring progress of key project milestones and measurement of actual performance improvements. The payback in bottom line cost savings vs the investment in the PIP program can also be calculated as the implemented changes began to show up in the performance measures.
