Risk Management
A PFMEA Workshop Taught at Your Plant

Why hold a PFMEA Workshop?

To better understand how to use the tools for identifying potential risks and failures throughout all the manufacturing process steps. To help meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations. Provide a sound strategy for continuous improvement within the Quality Management System. Properly implemented, the PFMEA becomes a comprehensive part of the quality system linking process control driven by data, documentation of procedures, problem solving with the focus on continuous improvement.

To increase the impact on quality education, Product Action has designed a workshop to teach teams about PFMEA. The program is a two-day workshop taught at your facility using your PFMEA as examples of real issues instead of fabricating examples. You will benefit from the education in the context of your manufacturing world.

What is Unique about the Product Action PFMEA Workshop?

What Will We Learn in a PFMEA Workshop?

Product Action's PFMEA workshop covers eight elements proven effective in understanding and developing a comprehensive Risk Management System.

Mechanics of a PFMEA. You will learn how to develop the PFMEA from the first stage of process mapping, potential failures, effects of those failures, controls, ranking the risks and planning the improvements through RPN Reduction planning.

  1. Development Tools. We will supply you with the tools and knowledge to use these tools to develop and sustain your Risk Management System.

  2. Creating a PFMEA. You will learn how to differentiate between failure modes, potential effects, potential causes through a construction from the FMEA exercise.

  3. RPN Reduction . You will learn how to use PFMEA's to understand your risks, and to focus your efforts on reducing risks. You will also learn to use Pareto Charts and other analytical tools to analyze past quality failures.

  4. Problem Solving Techniques. You will learn the various methods of problem solving in applying recommended actions for continuous improvements and RPN reduction.

  5. Layered Audits. You will learn how to review and document your processes at different levels in your organization, including the effective involvement of senior management.

  6. Error Proofing Verification. You will learn how to verify that your error-proofing processes and measures are being implemented consistently and correctly.

  7. Action Planning. You will learn to evaluate your current PFMEA and develop a gap analysis defining those gap items as action plans. Each action item will have an owner to facilitate the completion and verification or effectiveness.
